How did Supernatural become my comfort show? I actually watch it to cheer me up. I also keep a copy of Good Omens under my futon, because you never know when you’re going to need some perspective. “I don’t see why it matters what is written. Not when it comes to people. It can always be crossed out.”

Anyway, this was kind of a rough week, and that’s really my only excuse: more half-angel children, more angel prank wars, and Gabriel being Gabriel. (I made a bracelet that says, “What would Gabriel do?” Unfortunately, the answer rarely constitutes appropriate action on my part.) This is part of the Sky ’verse, in the sense that Dean is Michael and has put Sam and Gabriel in charge of an Earth-based angel garrison that operates out of Ellen’s Roadhouse. Also, Cas has magic powers and created some hybrid children.

So marcicat suggested I title this story in Latin back when we thought it was going to be a totally different thing than what it is. It was originally called "Musica Humana," whereafter I couldn't continue because the title was too awesome. I finally gave up and put the story out of my misery, and in ending it I realized it was not about Sam's relationship with Gabriel at all. It's about Sam's relationship with Dean. Hence the renaming.

(This scene occurs immediately after the end of the Sky trilogy. Dean gave Cas a message for Sam, and Gabriel got it.)
